I frequently jump rope in the basement of my apartment building and am looking for a decent jump rope mat. They seem to be really hard to find online. I also went to both Sports Authority and Dicks and came up empty. First, I don’t like the interlocking mats because they tend to want to pull apart when I do different skip techniques. I’m looking for a rough estimate of how much interlocking rubber stall mats are? The thin kind, I use lots of bedding. Also, they don’t have to be installed by a professional right? Do you have to cut them to fit your stall?

If you have stall mats in your stalls, what are they on? In my new stalls, the floor (without bedding of course) is the clay like dirt in NC. I want to put some gravel down on the dirt for drainage then put the mats on top of it and then have shavings over that. What do you think?
